This course aims to provide learners with a foundational understanding of aviation security principles, international regulations, and best practicesestablishedby ICAO and IATA. Through this e-learning program, participants will develop the ability toidentify, prevent, and respond to potential threats in the aviation environment. The course enhances security awareness among aviation personnel and prepares them to contribute effectively to a safe and secure aviation industry.
Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to:
- Understand current and emerging threats to civil aviation.
- Recognize the roles of ICAO, IATA, and ACI in aviation security.
- Apply international regulations and standards such as Annex 17 and Doc 8973.
- Manage access control and respond effectively to security incidents.
- Promote a culture of proactive security awareness across aviation operations
Entry Requirements:
Age:
- Minimum 16 years old.
Language (English Track):
- At least a Pass (Grade C6) in GCE O-Level English;
- or IELTS 5.5;
Academic (Local Students):
- Completed NITEC or Higher NITEC; or
- Obtained at least a Pass in one GCE O-Level subject (excluding English).
Academic (International Students):
- Completion of High School Qualification (Grade 10 or equivalent).
