The Diploma in Art Therapy, Empowerment and Psychology is a comprehensive multidisciplinary programme designed to develop learners’ knowledge and practical skills in expressive arts therapy, psychological empowerment, and counselling applications. Students will gain fundamental knowledge to support emotional wellbeing, enhance self-awareness, manage stress, and facilitate personal growth in individuals and groups.
The programme combines theory with hands-on practice, preparing graduates for roles in education, social services, community wellbeing, aged care, and workplace support, with a strong emphasis on ethical practice, creativity, and modern psychological tools.
The objective of the Diploma in Art Therapy, Empowerment and Psychology is to develop learners into competent and ethically grounded professionals who can apply art-based therapeutic methods to support emotional wellbeing, personal growth, and psychological empowerment. The programme aims to equip students with knowledge and practical skills to use expressive arts, sandplay, music, movement, and creative therapy techniques for self-exploration, emotional regulation, stress management, and group facilitation, while integrating modern AI-driven psychometric tools to enhance assessment and counselling practices.
Entry Requirements:
- Age: At least 16 years old
- Academic: At least a C6 grade in the Cambridge GCE O Level besides the GCE O Level English subject or equivalent; 10 years of formal education or equivalent; or mature candidates aged 30 and above with at least 8 years of working experience.
- Language: At least Grade C6 in GCE 'O' Level English or equivalent.
Graduation Requirement:
Student must achieve at least 75% attendance for all modules and a minimum passing of 50% for all assessments to be awarded the Diploma in Art Therapy, Empowerment and Psychology.
